Google Pacman LogoPAC-MAN is a cultural icon whose has the globe for 30 years. This official PAC-MAN 30th Anniversary site is dedicated to telling the story of PAC-MAN through his games, gear, and accomplishments.
His through the maze of infamy is far from over! Be sure to check in as the story is told that is distinctly PAC-MAN, The interactive doodle — a first for Google — is the brainchild of senior user designer Marcin Wichary, whose earliest exposure to Pac-Man came at age five while traveling across his native Poland with his father.
“As a group, we feel like we should do something to make him come back,” Namco Bandai’s US COO Makoto Iwai told Gamasutra (thanks Kotaku). “So, there’s one project that we started working on, and [Yasuhara is] part of it.”
Countdown to the 30th anniversary of the yellow eater and his ghosts friends: Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde… Wow!! Seems like yesterday that my first coin in a Pac Man arcade machine…
To the game, go to google.com/google.co.uk during the next 48 hours (a day longer than usual because – as Google explains – “it’s too cool to keep for just one day) and either press the “Insert Coin” button or just wait for a few seconds.
